Guide To Purchasing A French Riviera Property

France is famous for many things and with factors such as stunning beaches, great food, fine wine and restaurants, an unlimited amount of entertainment, exclusive shops and boutiques and not forgetting the sunny Mediterranean climate makes properties on the French Riviera highly desirable.

As a result of the high demand and limited supply, the property prices on the French Riviera can be higher than that at other places in France, but they are well worth the cost and investment.

Expensive and Exclusive French Riviera Property

The French Riviera boosts of being the home to properties owned by a number of well known faces including Victoria and David Beckham, Tara Palmer Tomkinson and Elton John.

If money is not a constraint, you can choose from quite a selection of stunning properties that are available in this region. While luxury villas can cost a fortune, they also come with the promise of all possible amenities, a great view and a perfect climate.

If you do not plan to stay in your luxury villa all year round, you can offer the property up to the holiday rental market. The demand for such properties is especially high especially during the Cannes film festival season and other high profile corporate events such as MIPCOM and MIPIM.

Affordable French Riviera Property Options

Among French Riviera properties, those in Monaco and Cannes are the most desirable and as such the most expensive.

If your aim is to experience the good life but without having to spend a fortune, you would be wise to consider looking a little way out from the central hub of these property hotspots and can consider purchasing a property in places such as Beausoleil.

In spite of being located just a stone's throw from Monaco, the prices of properties here are much lower.

If you have decided against the idea of purchasing property on the French Riviera due to financial reasons, then you need to think again. The property market in the region is changing and the number of affordable properties that are coming up for sale is increasing.

Identifying the need for affordable properties, a number of developers are constructing studio, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments.

Although the cost of these apartments is higher than those in the other areas like in the Gers and the Limousin, they are an excellent investment.

Like all the other regions in the country, properties in some areas of the French Riviera are costlier than the others. While sea front or town centre locations are the most expensive, you may be able to get properties at much more affordable prices towards the outskirts.

The importance of the town or city also affects prices, For instance, properties at the Bouches-du-Rhône are likely to be much cheaper than those in Cannes.
